GB2020 Extruded Geogrid
GB2020 is a biaxial extruded geogrid used in base reinforcement and soil containment by interacting with the aggregate below and above the geogrid. Using geogrids in soil retention situations allows the user to reduce the amount of aggregate required when constructing a highway, parking lot, or rail line. Or if you use the same aggregate level, one can increase the design life of the project significantly. All of our extruded geogrids are made from a mix of polypropylene pellets which are extruded and punched into the grid shape, with a small amount of carbon black added in for UV protection. GB2020 geogrid is a true biaxial geogrid similar in construction to our GB1515 geogrid just with slightly higher tensile strength in both the machine and cross-machine direction making it useful in applications where a GB1515 geogrid isn’t quite strong enough.
