GB11 Extruded Geogrid
GB11 biaxial extruded geogrid is used in base reinforcement by interlocking with the aggregate below and above the geogrid. Incorporating GB11 into a project allows the user to reduce the amount of material required when constructing a highway, parking lot or rail line. One can also use the same aggregate level and increase the design life of the project significantly. All of our extruded geogrids are made from a mix of polypropylene pellets which are extruded and punched into the grid shape, with a small amount of carbon black added in for UV protection. While our line of base reinforcement geogrids are typically found in larger civil construction projects they can be used in residential and smaller applications as well such as reinforcing gravel in driveways, parking spots, and other areas of traffic and load support where rutting can occur.
